About the Organization

The formation of Navchetna Yuva Vikas Sanstha (NYVS) is the result of efforts by another Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Yavatmal called Gramin Samasya Mukti Trust (GSMT). GSMT has been working in Vani town, Yavatmal district, on HIV/STI prevention among high-risk groups, including men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender individuals.

Message from the Chairperson/Executive Director

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we look back on the past year at Navchetna Yuva Vikas Sanstha (NYVS), I am filled with gratitude for the achievements we’ve reached together. In 2023-24, our commitment to empowering marginalized communities across Yavatmal has strengthened through impactful programs in health, social protection, disaster relief, and economic empowerment.

This year, alongside Swathi Mahila Sangh, the Taras Coalition, and under the C-19 RM grant, we provided social protection services and documentation support to over 7,000 marginalized individuals. Our Disaster Relief Task Force extended essential aid to 1,200 flood-affected families, reinforcing our dedication to resilience. Also, we held expanded health screenings and camps, addressing HIV, anemia, and diabetes, ensuring community members receive early intervention.

Though challenges persist, including societal stigma and pandemic impacts, we remain steadfast in advocating for accessibility and resilience. Our partnerships with organizations like GFATM, local health authorities, and private healthcare providers have been instrumental in reaching milestones
